Halo 3's last known Easter Egg has been found, a cool seven years after the game was released.
According to intrepid Halo explorers at Teambeyond.net, if you press down on both thumbsticks during the loading screen on December 25, you'll be shown a wider view of the Halo ring. If you look closely - and I mean, really closely - you'll see the words “Happy Birthday Lauren!” spelled out on the ring's surface.

Bungie has teased players with the final Easter Egg for years. In a Q & A in aBungie Mail Sack from 2012, Jon Cable said “there is one Easter egg in Halo 3that I don’t think anyone has found – I stumbled across it in code a while back. It only happens on a specific day … so good luck.”
In a subsequent mail sack (with an expired link, text is preserved here), Adrian Perez claimed his proudest moment at Bungie was "showing my wife the Easter egg I put in the halo 3 loading screen for her - the one that nobody has found yet."
And now they have. Happy birthday Lauren! Check out the video of the discovery above.
